Media Insurance 101

Navigating the media insurance landscape can be daunting. How much coverage should your organization carry? How do you accurately describe your risk on a policy application? How can you work with a broker to find the best policy and rate? What factors influence your premiums? 

INN has invited two media risk experts to explain the insurance market and help answer those questions. Michelle Worrall Tilton and Chad Milton of Media Risk Consultants both have backgrounds in journalism, law and media liability insurance. Their webinar will be geared toward general information for independent and nonprofit newsrooms.

About the speakers:

Chad Milton

Chad has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in all areas of insurance and risk management for media companies. Most recently, he was a founding partner of ThinkRisk Underwriting Agency. He is educated at Colorado College (Phi Beta Kappa), University of Missouri Graduate School of Journalism, and the University of Colorado School of Law.

Michelle Worrall Tilton

Michelle has devoted her career to media liability insurance and managing risk for media companies. In 1998 she founded First Media InsuranceSpecialists, which she later sold to One Beacon Professional Insurance. Michelle holds degrees in both journalism and law from the University of Kansas.
