Overview: Crowdfunding campaigns can bring in new revenue for nonprofit journalism. And with the right planning, they can do even more, like refine your marketing pitch, grow your donor community, and increase audience engagement with your work.
INN has invited nonprofit news consultant Jason Alcorn to guide you through the planning process and answer your questions about whether crowdfunding is a good idea for your organization. Alcorn ran three successful crowdfunding campaigns for InvestigateWest, a nonprofit news outlet based in Seattle, and curates INNovation, the INN newsletter.
Who Should Attend: This session is designed for executive directors, development directors and engagement editors interested in crowdfundingthrough platforms such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Beacon.
