Learn how to leverage StoryShare platform to spread your content

In 2020 the Associated Press launched StoryShare, a platform that helps news organizations to expand local newsgathering efforts. In the coming weeks, AP will extend StoryShare to Illinois, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. It will continue expansion to about 5 new states per quarter throughout 2021.
StoryShare launched last year in New York, Oregon and Colorado, and during its early rollout it has allowed members to share over four thousand local news stories and collaborate on local coverage. AP employees moderate this new platform to ensure successful member participation – this model has proven to be extremely successful and the volume of sharing has continued to increase.
AP will conduct a demo and Q&A session for interested INN members at 3 p.m. ET on 3/25. While AP ultimately decides which news organizations can join StoryShare, we’ve been told that INN members are likely to receive a positive response.
