How One Liner Aims to Help Newsrooms Understand Editorial Analytics Platforms

The US-based Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) was recently awarded $35,000 (£25,156) from the Knight Foundation Prototype Fund to develop One Liner, a platform to help journalists manage and understand the implications of using third party services, particularly popular platforms such as Chartbeat, Google Analytics or Parse.ly.

Projects in this round of funding include Access Missouri, a portal designed to make it easier to explore information about legislation and legislators in the state, and the Institute for Nonprofit News' One-liner, which seeks to help newsrooms improve website performance and better understand the privacy implications of a burgeoning market of third-party analytics tools, social networking widgets and advertising software.
